Our Shipping Policy
At southcoastmusic we are committed to getting your items to you as quickly, safely and cheaply as possible. We offer free shipping on most items and to most locations. Some exceptions apply. Large bulky goods and delivery to remote areas are likely to incur a freight cost. FREE DELIVERY does not apply to all NT areas, regional & remote WA and in some cases remote SA, QLD and TAS. If in doubt please contact us before purchase. If a charge is applicable – because of the high volume of parcels we deliver, our freight rates are extremely favourable. In some instances we may need a business address or you will have to pick your item up from the local freight depot.
If a listing does not have delivery included in its buy price please contact us for an obligation free quote on delivery.

We know that you will want to take delivery of your item as soon as possible once you have paid for it. We can provide an estimated delivery time based on the postcode you provide. While we will send your item promptly, we have no control over the Couriers, Common Carriers, Australia Post and any other organisation that may play a part in the delivery of your item.
Deliveries to most East Coast Cities and major regional centres should take approximately 3-5 working days. Deliveries to West Australia, the Northern Territory and areas classed as remote will take longer. please be aware that deliveries to some remote areas such as far north West Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland can take more than two weeks.
Weekends, Public Holidays and natural disasters will also affect Delivery times. If you require an item to be delivered on a particular day, contact us first to discuss your options and avoid disappointment. Please note that Australia Post’s Platinum or Express Delivery does not guarantee next day delivery to all locations.

R E C E I V I N G Y O U R D E L I V E R Y
The recipient must be present when the order is Delivered. The only exeption is where the recipient has requested, in writing to southcoastmusic that another person(s) is named and authorised by the recipient to accept the goods on their behalf or you are picking up from the Post Office or Transport Depot. Proof of identity will be required in these circumstances.
We DO NOT offer Unattended Delivery.
Please note that Risk and Title in the goods passes to the recipient upon delivery of the goods once delivered and signed for to their nominated Delivery Address. Transit insurance also expires once the goods have been delivered. It should also be noted that Delivery to a business address may speed up the Delivery time.
We will advise you which company will deliver your item. In some instances if re-delivery is required, a re-delivery fee may be charged. We will advise you of this possibility before shipping your item.
T R A N S I T I N S U R A N C E
Unless stated in the listing or negotiated at the time of purchase, your item is not covered by Transit Insurance. You have the option to purchase transit insurance to the value of the item/s purchased. Insurance charges vary from item to item and are very reasonable. If you are unsure, please contact us for more information or an obligation free quote.
We recommend that Transit insurance be purchased when you pay for your item as we are unable to cover for any damage in transit or lost packages. Transit insurance also expires once the goods have been delivered.
P I C K Y O U R I T E M U P I N – S T O R E
You are more than welcome to pick up your item in person from our retail store located at Shops 7-10, Shoalhaven Arcade, 19 Kinghorne Street, Nowra, NSW, 2541. Before you come in to pick up your item, please contact us by Phone 02 44218688 or email to confirm all pick-up arrangements and details.

D U T I E S A N D T A X E S
southcoastmusic will provide an Australian Tax Invoice showing the amount of GST (Goods and Service Tax) paid. In some instances the GST paid may be claimed back from the Australian Taxation Office. We are unable to arrange this.
southcoastmusic will not be held responsible for any import duties, levies or charges imposed upon the recipients of goods exported from Australia. We will not issue a bogus invoice for goods purchased in order to avoid Duties and Taxes as is the case with some US resellers.

Goods dispatched to international customers will only be covered by transit insurance if the carrier provides cover as part of their service or the customer takes out optional transit insurance when paying for their goods. Please check with us for costs etc before making a purchase. Please allow 21 business days for delivery to most International locations.
