YAMAHA ELECTRIC GUITAR REVSTAR RSP20CRRR Rusty Rat Finish with Fitted Yamaha Hard Case – made in Japan
Yamaha have been making guitars for a very long time. Not simply just another guitar brand, Yamaha have perfected their craft and their Guitars are played by some of the most influential and loved Artists on the planet. Their superb SA, SG and Pacifica lines are highly regarded and stand proudly alongside any of the other major Guitar brands. It was then always going to be an enormous challenge for Yamaha to come up with something new – but then, Yamaha have never been known to do anything by halves!
It has been 20 years since Yamaha last released a completely original guitar and they wanted to make it something special. The goal was to create a guitar inspired by the iconic Yamaha Cafe Racer motorbikes. In order to achieve this, Yamaha teamed up with a design company in London who spent years designing the Revstar in collaboration with respected contemporary guitarists to perfectly combine feel, tone and aesthetic.
The end result is a stunning range of guitars priced to delight and inspire everyone from beginners to pros.
Inspired by the stylish lines and effortless performance of the Café Racer bikes that coloured the streets of 1960s London, the Revstar Professional wholeheartedly embraces the concept of being a stripped down, tuned up high performance package of sublime guitar craftsmanship.
Hand-selected premium parts and materials combined with an ingenuity and know-how that reflects Japan’s detail-oriented engineering ethic, ensure that this guitar is true to the ethos of the Café Racer—function, character, and style to burn.
The flagship RSP20CR model is made in Japan with custom parts and fully embodies the Café Racer concept. Copper pick guards wear over time as the guitar is played naturally creating a unique look for each player.
Craftsmen selected and calibrated parts and Yamaha’s unique Initial Response Acceleration (I.R.A.) technology give the RSP20CR a vintage vibe and easy playability from the first day. The Rusty Rat finish is quite controversial for Yamaha – they usually produce hand finished beauties in more traditional colours. Rusty Rat is interesting . . . it’s not ‘pretty’ and definitely looks vintage. What may be most surprising is that grey as a colour is the best reflector of light without flaring out. What does that mean? It means that the Rusty Rat is a badass guitar that has been designed for the stage. Any Lighting Tech will confirm that the best colour to reflect light on stage is grey, what are we saying? This bad boy sounds incredible but you should see it on stage, under lights…!
The new Revstar electric guitar series introduces a new design concept geared to today’s style sensibilities and features Yamaha’s unique design capabilities in the first major update to the classic Yamaha guitar body shape in over a decade.
