The compact concert size body is perfect for female and younger players as well as intermediate to upper level finger-picking style players.
Drawing on Yamaha’s fifty years of experience building guitars, the FS series shares features a comfortable 25″ short scale length and compact, grand auditorium concert size bodies. Delivering a tight, focused and punchy sound, the FS820 is not only a great strummer, it also provides perfect articulation for intricate playing styles.
The new Yamaha FS820 is also louder and stronger in the lower to mid range frequencies. Thanks to cutting-edge acoustic analysis technology developed by the Yamaha Guitar R&D Division, their exhaustive analysis, feedback and simulations resulted in a new scalloped bracing design that was focused purely on sound rather than tradition or guesswork.
This new pattern delivers more volume, more projection, increased low end response and a bigger tone., the bracing also allows the resonance of the guitar to sit closer to the middle resulting in a bigger impact on both tone and play-ability.
The FS820 is a superb guitar. Warm harmonic overtones and improved sustain thanks to the mahogany back and sides deliver improved sound through greater depth. The quality of finishing and overall appearance adds to the overall feeling that this guitar should actually cost more than its modest asking price and the Turquoise finish is simply gorgeous.
