SOLID SITKA SPRUCE TOP
Sitka Spruce is universally acknowledged as one of the World’s premium tonewoods and the first choice for acoustic guitar tops. The FGX830C’s Sitka Spruce produces a well-rounded, articulate tone with excellent projection and enhanced harmonics with superb tonal balance. The really good news is that this solid top will continue to improve with time.
REDESIGNED SCALLOPED BRACING
Yamaha are constantly working with artists to improve their instruments and an exciting advancement that resulted from these collaborations is the new scalloped bracing on the FGX830C. Following artists input and cutting-edge acoustic analysis technology developed by the Yamaha R&D Division, Yamaha improved the bracing design allowing more movement from the top resulting in a louder and stronger sounding guitar with enhanced low/mid range projection.
ROSEWOOD BACK AND SIDES
The back and sides of the FGX830C are made from Rosewood. Rosewood has become very difficult to source with severe restrictions imposed by C.I.T.E.S., the world regulator. This can only mean that instruments built with Rosewood can only increase in value into the future as supplies dry up. Rosewood is an amazing tonewood prized for its warm tone and rich harmonic content. Lower frequencies are enhanced and the top end rings clearly. Combined with the lively and defined sound of the Solid Sitka Spruce top, you should love the rich and wide ranging tone of the Yamaha FGX830C.
