Shubb C1K Original Steel String Guitar Capo Black Chrome for Acoustic & Electric Guitars
CAPO: (short for capodastro, capo tasto or capotasto [kapoˈtasto], Italian for “head of fretboard” is a device used on the neck of a stringed instrument to shorten the playable length of the strings, thereby raising the pitch. The word derives from the Italian “capotasto” which means the nut of a stringed instrument. The Capo is generally used to raise the pitch of a fretted instrument so it may play in a different key using the same open position fingerings shapes and patterns. The Capo may also used to dampen strings when playing with the “tapping” method.
CAPO NOIR: Shubb Capo in stunning black chrome finish, now featuring the roller design and contoured lever.
When Shubb first introduced their Capo in 1980, capos changed forever and were elevated to a whole new level. In 1998 Shubb released the Deluxe and pushed the envelope again. For millions of guitar players the world over – they have found their ultimate capo.
Many people thought that the original Shubb could not be improved, but the Deluxe has taken what could be expected in materials, design, geometry and ergonomics to a higher level.
