Rotosound RKH1 The King Henry Hand Wired Phaser Pedal Hand Built in the UK
Designed by famed electronics wizard, John Oram of VOX and TRIDENT fame, The King Henry by Rotosound is a hand made Phaser Pedal and it sounds amazing.
The King Henry features Rate, Depth and a unique Peak control for regenerating the phase signal and sharpening up the effect, creating wah type sounds at higher rate settings.
As with the other modulation effects in this range, the LED reflects the Rate setting for easy visual feedback on stage and a significant variety of phase sounds can be achieved by combining the three dials in various combinations.
The tone is superb with a very smooth analogue character that deserves the term ‘vintage’. The tone is very musical and noiseless with a lovely sweep that moves into more extreme territory with higher rate and depth setting whilst still remaining useable. The peak control is great for getting auto-wah style effects and is very responsive to dynamics making this a versatile and great sounding pedal indeed.
The King Henry offers lots of variation on that iconic 70s phaser sound.
Its secret weapon is the peak knob, which brings regeneration into the mix and emphasises the ‘wow’ in the sweep, giving you a sound like an auto-wah when you turn up the depth.
