The origins of the Djembe can be traced back to West Africa. Djembes can be made to produce three distinct tones. The deep bass tone sounds when striking the center on the drumhead. The mid tone is played just off center. The High Tek is a rim shot played with fingers on edge of drumhead. Rhythm is the building block for all music making. Let’s make music.
