This limited edition release of the classic Phase 90 features the bold, brazen art of the award-winning UK-based design crüe ILOVEDUST.
Over the course of four decades, the MXR Phase 90 has become the mainstay on pedal boards of millions of players around the globe. This little orange box has gone on to become the sole icon of its effect category, with countless legendary riffs having benefitted from the sonic qualities of this pedal. The original version available from MXR’s inception in the late 70’s went on to define the classic phase shifter sound and was heard on everything from hard rock to jazz-fusion and funk hits.
The MXR ILD101 Phase 90 delivers the classic MXR four-stage phasing sound with continuously variable speed control. The Phase 90 has a fixed regeneration level that adds intensity and sounds great on guitars and keyboards. Uses batteries or an optional 9VDC power supply.
No matter the genre or instrument, the Phase 90 has been there through it all to add its distinctly lush voice to a musician’s tone palette. With the twist of the Rate knob, you can take the Phase 90’s warm modulation from subtle, spatial shimmer to all-out high velocity swooshing.
The MXR Phase 90 has found its way into many classic recordings, adding a shimmery velocity to lead passages or a more dramatic swoosh to muted strumming. In spite of its simple design and ease of use, the Phase 90 was no one-trick-pony. As well as guitars, the MXR Phase 90 was soon found to be a fabulous sonic tool with bass, keyboards and even vocals.
