With the ultimate focus on tone, Indonesian Rosewood (Sonokelin) has been chosen for fingerboards and bridges, Mahogany for the necks and exotic Nyatoh for the tops and arched back bodies.
Nyatoh is an exotic hardwood species native to the rainforests of southeast Asia. With an attractive tight straight grain that resembles cherry wood, Nyatoh is an excellent sustainable tonewood and ideal for the construction of musical instruments.
A distinctive transparent, finish is applied to every Mahalo JAVA Series Ukulele to reveal the inherent beauty and quality of the tone woods and to enhance every musical nuance.
Complete with a Mahalo carry bag, the Mahalo MJ1TBR JAVA series soprano ukulele features an arched back and state-of-the-art Canadian NuBone Extended Bass (XB) bridge saddles to increase projection and bass response.
Italian made Aquila Super NylGut strings – renowned for producing a fuller, louder and more balanced sound, rich in tonal harmonics – are also fitted as standard.
