The KALA KA-6E is a 6 string Tenor Ukulele. Featuring a laminated Mahogany body, Rosewood Fretboard and Bridge, the KA-6E sounds absolutely wonderful – soft, mellow and harmonically rich.
As an accompaniment instrument it is without peer. The KALA KA-6E is much more than a great acoustic instrument and features a German Shadow Active Preamp with under-saddle transducer pickup.
The KALA KA-6E model has quality open geared tuners and a vintage inspired slotted head.
The tuning may appear confronting at first but is really quite straight forward. From the first (facing the floor) string, the tuning is as follows (Aquila Tenor 17U Gauges):
