The XO series is a standalone brand and represents the pinnacle of KHS – Jupiter’s parent company – experience, expertise and craftsmanship in Brass instruments. XO is the vision of Koichi Haido, Chief Instrument Technician at the Global Corporation in Japan and after tireless consultation with some of the world’s top players and countless prototypes, the first XO trumpet was introduced to the market in 1995.
XO trumpets have numerous awards including “MMR Dealer’s Choice Awards” and “Band Instrument Line of the Year” in the USA.
Developed in collaboration with Roger Ingram, the XO 1600IS trumpet was designed and hand crafted to Roger’s exacting requirements resulting in a superb, professional level instrument. Vibrant and focused, it is the horn for lead trumpet players in search of perfect sound projection and effortless intonation.
The XO 1600IS trumpet is easy to play with fast response and focused tone. The smooth valve action, balanced resistance and the solid core to the sound means that you won’t have to work as hard play cleanly and musically.
The XO 1600IS features a .453″ bore and a 4.8″ hand hammered B1 bell with heavy bead and an enhanced bell ferrule. The combination of these two features creates an instrument with exceptional dispersion, clarity and tone.
The XO also features a reverse lead pipe and professional two-piece valve casing with nickel silver balusters and includes stainless steel valves and a vertical third valve stop.
An XO Trumpet Accessory kit is included allowing you to customise your horn with either the pearl inlaid or metal finger buttons, regular or light action springs as well as standard or heavy weight bottom valve caps. Also included are the special XO Nodal Stabilizers that reduce the gaps that normally contribute to turbulence and excessive resistance.
The Silver plated finish is equally impressive with its Gold accents and hand engraving.
