Ibanez have pulled out all the stops with this concert sized ukulele and other exotic tone woods used include Okoume for the neck and Purpleheart for the fingerboard and bridge.
The florentine cutaway provides excellent access to the upper end of the 19 fret Purpleheart fretboard and the flat radius adds to the easy playability. The 15″ concert-scale Okoume neck is both smooth and comfortable with maple dot inlays and premium Grover chrome open-backed tuners
The acoustic sound of the Macassar Ebony EW ukulele is rich and responsive with a focused, melodic tone that responds well to strumming and is ideal for fingerpicking.
Ibanez have equipped the UEW13MEE Concert Ukulele with their proven AEQ2U electronics and the result when plugged in are stellar amplified tones and versatile tone-shaping control. A built-in chromatic tuner is a fantastic aid for the premium Grover machine heads.
