Adrian Legg is one of the most accomplished acoustic guitar players in the World.
An Englishman, Adrian Legg is the guitar player who has been called “impossible to categorise” by his peers and the music press alike. Playing custom guitars that are a hybrid of electric and acoustic, Adrian Legg’s fingerstyle picking technique has been acknowledged by the readers of Guitar Player who voted Legg the “best acoustic fingerstyle” player four years in a row from 1993–1996.
Adrian Legg first became noticed as a bench technician customising electric guitars. He was also an incredibly proficient and inspiring guitar Teacher. Having established himself as a Teacher, Adrian was then encouraged to begin publishing books and videos on guitar technique which exposed his incredible technique to the World.
Adrian Legg is not simply some obscure guitar player. In 1996 and 1997, Adrian shared the stage with acclaimed guitarists Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson and Steve Vai as part of the G3 tour. Vai called Legg “Uncle Adrian” and Satriani said of Legg’s musicianship “He’s simply the best acoustic guitar player I’ve ever heard. I don’t know anyone else who can create such a cascade of beautiful notes… Adrian plays like he’s got hammers for fingers.”
High praise indeed.
Some of Adrian Legg’s trademark tunings and licks are now offered to you in a private lesson by way of this DVD.
In this DVD, Adrian Legg takes an in-depth look at some of the more intriguing open tunings for acoustic guitar plus a variety of trailblazing effects.
“Frailing” for guitar, Celtic-style playing, DADGAD tuning, open G tuning, dynamics, attack, advanced hammer and pull techniques and even Scottish bagpipe effects—all these and much more make this DVD an exceptionally rewarding lesson for students of the acoustic guitar.
Elevate your playing to another level with your own private lesson from a British guitar master.
You’ll never miss a note…the music and tablature are displayed on screen as it’s being played.
