Introduced in 1970, Hagstrom’s iconic Swede model was a serious alternative to the Les Paul, and this modern variant retains much of the quirky charm of the original, while remaining distinctly different qualities.
This Hagstrom Select Series Ultra Swede features the finest mahogany tone wood, flamed maple body and neck binding and as you can see, a beautiful quilted maple top and high gloss nordic blonde finish. This guitar’s finish is the lighter shade of Hagstrom’s Nordic Blonde finish.
Taking the whole Hagstrom Swede guitar concept to the next level, this guitar is absolutely stunning to look at and delivers a standard of tone and playability that can only be described as awe-inspiring.
The body features a beautifully carved top and single cut-away along with lighter weight with a slimmer profile, the Select Series Ultra Swede is an absolute delight. Two Hagstrom Custom 58 humbuckers deliver classic PAF-type tones. Adding to its versatility is a coil tap switch giving you access to P90 and Tele type tones at the flick of a switch.
Thanks to Hagstrom’s propriety H-Expander Truss Rod, the Ultra Swede’s super slim 24¾“ scaleneck will stay straight and true resistant to twisting torsional forces.
