Rock’n Roll History is a powerful force and Hagstrom has turned back the hands of time to recreate this landmark model. The “67 Viking II” is a faithful recreation of the model played by the king himself in his first live concert in almost a decade back in the late 1960s. Copyright restrictions and corporate greed prevent us from mentioning his name but even if you don’t get who we are talking about – it doesn’t matter – this is a bitchin’ killer hollow body electric guitar with the slimmest, fastest neck you could ever hope for on a guitar of this style – and it sounds amazing.
The Hagstrom ’67 Viking II features a slim-line Flame Maple-Ply hollow body with a bolt-on Canadian Hard Maple neck. The bound 6-in-line Headstock is period correct.
For the ’67 Viking II, Hagstrom have dug deep into their archives to come up with the H52 Mini Humbucking pickups. These Hagstrom Mini-Humbucking pickups were designed to bring players back to the golden age of rock/pop music. Retaining the same classic vibe as the 60’s originals, these mini-humbuckers deliver classic humbucking tones with the added flexibility of splitable single coil modes for both pickups, providing players with complete tonal flexibility.
