This is a collector’s dream! This Limited Edition package has been released to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic British based Amplifier manufacturer Marshall.
At its heart is the revered Marshall 1962LE Bluesbreaker combo amplifer. Right from it release in the 1960s the defacto partner for the Marshall Bluesbreaker combo has been the Gibson Les Paul electric guitar. Consequently, this package is completed with the inclusion of a hand-aged Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop guitar.
Only 50 of these packages exist in the world, making this one of the most exclusive guitar-amplifier packages ever seen…and did we mention that this package is a player’s dream as well!
1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop
Flash back to 1957… Gibson launched their now legendary Seth Lover designed PAF pickup with the 1957 Les Paul Goldtop. This was the first guitar to feature this amazing new technology…the Humbucking Pickup. This pickup is considered by many to be the holy grail of electric guitar tone and has been copied by every major pickup manufacturer on the planet. The Gibson 50th Anniversary of Marshall Les Paul Goldtop features two extremely close replications of the original PAF pickups in the form of two Burstbucker humbuckers… now, this is Tone baby!
Hand Aged by Tom Murphy
Tom Murphy is the authority on aging of guitars, using extremely precise and secretive techniques to age a guitar just as it would be through years of gentle playing. While this will give a guitar a great look, it can also open up the sound through gentle wear of the nitrocellulose gloss finish. This is a contributing factor to the legendary sound of vintage guitars and is the main reason why they are so desirable.
Marshall 1962LE Bluesbreaker Amplifier
Based on one an early design of Marshall that was made to be easily transported with minimum effort, this amp is hand-wired and can guarantee exceptional tone. Essentially a combo version of the revered JTM45 head, the first amplifier made by Marshall, this amp includes a tremolo circuit easily turned on and off with he supplied footswitch. Four EL83 valves give you the genuine old-school tone that many guitar players crave which is further embellished when played through the two 12″ Alnico T.652 speakers.
