Many people may not be aware that the Squier brand has been arond for a very long time. The V.C. Squier Company manufactured strings for violins, banjos and guitars. Established in 1890 by VC Squier in Battle Creek, Michigan, the company was acquired by Fender in 1965. This Montego Black metallic Affinity Stratocaster a single-ply “platinum sparkle” pickguard and an eye-catching metallic finish. The single-coil neck and middle pickups offer classic stratocaster tones while the addition of a high output humbucking bridge pickup is perfect for anything from blues to metal.
