The Shawn Mendes Musicmaster® is a unique combination of exquisite vintage art and classic Fender tone.
His highly personal take on the popular 60’s short-scale model features a solid Alder body, “C”-shaped Maple neck with a R9.5″ radius Maple fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets and a unique single coil/humbucker pickup configuration, providing a wide range of Fender tones.
The history of the Musicmaster stretches back to the mid-’50s, when it was introduced as one of Fender’s first-ever 3/4 scale student model guitars. The Fender Musicmaster has undergone several updates and modifications over the years but it’s never looked, played or sounded like this.
The body of the Shawn Mendes Musicmaster is a literal work of art – adorned with a striking floral design by French artist Adolphe Millot, this distinctive flower motif is also reflected subtly in the pickguard – accented by a sleek gloss finish, knurled flat-top control knobs and nickel/chrome hardware.
A Fender Tex-Mex™ Single-Coil Stratocaster pickup at the bridge and a Fender Player Series humbucking pickup at the neck deliver modern tones that are both versatile and inspiring.
