EPIPHONE G400 ELECTRIC GUITAR – FADED WORN CHERRY FINISH EGGVWCCH1

The story of Epiphone guitars began in 1873 in the Ottoman Empire which is now Turkey. The name “Epiphone” is a combination of proprietor Epaminondas Stathopoulos’ nickname “Epi” and “phone” (from Greek phon-, “sound”/”voice”). In 1903 Epamindondas moved to the United States and began building all manner of stringed instruments including banjos, mandolins, violins, double basses and of course, guitars.

Epiphone became a serious player in a rapidly growing market but the untimely deaths of key members of the Stathopoulos family saw the company taken over by Gibson in 1957. Epiphone again became a prominent player in the “beat” explosion of the late 1950’s – 60’s with Epiphone guitars the choice of guitar for many of the influential bands of the day including the Beatles. An important part of the Gibson Guitar corporation since 1957, today Epiphone build some of the finest musical instruments regardless of price.

Through Epiphone, Gibson are able to offer high quality, affordable reproductions of their most famous models including the Les Paul, SG, ES335, ES137, ES339 and many more. In addition to the Gibson reproductions Epiphone also make their own range of acoustic instruments which are unrivalled at their price point. If you haven’t played an Epiphone get in today and try one, you won’t regret it.

The Epiphone Worn G-400 is one of the best guitar value-for-money available today.

The original SG not only rivaled guitars of its own era for sonic variety but also proved to be a sign of things to come. Scores of rock, hard rock and metal guitarists embraced – and continue to emabrace the SG, making it the classic that it is today.

Widely imitated, nothing but the Epiphone G400 gives you the sound of a true SG at this price and with the quality you’ve come to expect from Epiphone. This Worn G-400 gives you the sound and look of a real worn-in SG without the vintage price tag.

A truly iconic guitar, this interpretation of the 1962 SG features a vintage inspired worn faded cherry finish along with an ‘aged’ fingerboard.

A pair of Alnico Classic humbuckers deliver the classic PAF tone with incredible sustain.

Every serious player wants an SG and here’s the real thing that sounds as good as it looks.
