Epiphone Masterbilt Century Zenith Acoustic Guitar – Vintage Sunburst (ETZ1VSNH1)
The Century Zenith acoustic is one that stands out among the rest in Epiphone’s classic and premium Masterbilt Series. The Masterbilt Series by Epiphone rapidly grew to fame during the 1930’s, and was renowned for it’s warm, woody tone and overall booming volume. Now with modern technology, Epiphone re-imagines this classic by bringing modern electronics to original, old-school design. The Zenith is a medium sized archtop acoustic with a Solid Spruce top, Longitudinal bracing, and a Flame Maple body. Included is a 1930’s style label inside the sound hole. Both the Vintage Natural and Vintage Sunburst finishes have a very unique look to them that helps bring this guitar’s vintage style back to life. Just like the original archtops, this one has a unique body profile with a 16″ lower bout, a 11.6″ upper, and a 9.4″ waist. The length of the body is slightly over 20″. The neck profile has a full, rounded “C” profile and a glued in, dovetail jointed neck to help increase sustain and resonance. The fretboard is made of Ebony for a very smooth feel, 20 20 medium jumbo greats, and a 25.5″ scale length.
As great as the Zenith Century sounds unamplified, when its plugged in the eSonic HD preamp and NanoFlex HD pickup does a magnificent job of capturing it’s natural tone. No arch top player has had an acoustic guitar’s sound more naturally amplified than by this one’s under saddle pickup. There are also very easy to access controls for an EQ, & Volume.
