Built in collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop, the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard is Epiphone’s incredible recreation of the rare vintage classic prized by players the world over.
An incredible tribute to a true icon, the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard has undergone significant enhancements and is more authentic and truer to the originals than ever before.
The Mahogany body features a Maple top with a book matched Iced Tea Burst AAA Flame Maple veneer. The one-piece Mahogany neck has the highly desirable ’59 rounded, medium C profile, long prized by players for its comfort and playability.
Other period correct features include the long neck tenon, Gibson-style “open book” R9 headstock shape and VOS (Vintage Original Sheen) Iced Tea finish.
The electronics are first class with Gibson Custombucker humbucking pickups, CTS® pots, Mallory™ capacitors, 50s era wiring, a Switchcraft® selector switch and 6.35mm (1/4″) output jack.
Other authentic styling cues include a non-bevelled pickguard, Deluxe Kluson-style tuners with Keystone buttons and a vintage-style brown and pink hard-shell case.
