Crafter is a relatively new Brand on the Australian Guitar landscape. It is however, one of the UK’s biggest selling guitar brands where it has delighted and inspired musicians at all levels for more than Thirty Years! The Twin Birds Bubinga is an impressive guitar. Built in the style of the Grand Auditoriums and boasting a glorious solid Engelmann Spruce top with exotic African Bubinga back and sides, Indian Rosewood fingerboard, built in L.R. Baggs pickup and LCD tuner, the Crafter Bubinga Twin Birds owes its name to the beautiful marquetry inlaid birds into the face around the soundhole and fingerboard of this fine instrument.
The Crafter TB Bubinga owes much of its superb tone to Crafter’s innovative T-Brace System.
Crafter’s T-Brace System reduces the overall weight of the guitar, as wood is removed from both sides of the brace. The lighter T-Brace makes the resulting sound louder and better-balanced, while still allowing necessary rigidity to maintain the shape of the top. The T-Brace is installed at a right angle to the top for strength, but offers more resonance than the traditional A-brace.
The Crafter TB-Bubinga also features deluxe chrome tuners with mushroom buttons, a wider than average neck and a satin finish.
Electronics are taken well care of with the LR Baggs LR-S Plus Preamp in conjunction with LR Baggs Element pickup system.
Bubinga is a true luxury lumber. Known also as African Rosewood, it’s used to make musical instruments, fine furniture and other high-end products. In fact, Japanese automaker Lexus offers the West African wood as an interior trim in its newer models. A hard and heavy tropical wood and prized for its remarkable figuring, curly or “waterfall” Bubinga is wildly expensive limiting its use to top end instruments.
