Privia PX850
Casio has done a wonderful job developing the many of the lines of instruments attached to their name. They have a number of excellent digital piano models however, with the specialised Privia line – everything has been taken to another level. The Privia PX850 offers a level of class and precision that is simply superb and we believe that you will be delighted when you finally sit down to play this Digital Piano.
The Casio PX850 comes in an attractive, contemporary looking compact home furniture style lightweight cabinet with a built-in sliding key cover and full sheet music holder. The PX850 uses Casio’s latest upgraded digital technology that is head and shoulders above any other digital piano in this price range. Another impressive feature is the realistic moisture absorbing synthetic ivory/ebony keytops (similar to the real ivory & ebony on your Grandparent’s old acoustic grand & upright pianos), and graded piano hammer key action response.

A huge advancement not offered on other digital pianos in this price range is the 256-note polyphony piano sound processing technology.
More polyphony note power helps to keep notes from electronically dropping out when playing difficult & musically complex passages along with layering 2 sounds together and using the damper pedal.
The PX850 also offers the “half-pedal” sustain feature with pedal resonance effect which helps recreate the real acoustic piano pedaling damper/sustain sound for more intermediate to advanced piano music.

Privia PX850 audio recorder
Casio have included “WAV file” audio recording in the PX850 which means that you can record yourself as an audio recording (CD quality) and save it to a USB flashdrive in the piano. You then take that recording in the flashdrive and plug it into your computer and email that song to your friends and relatives to let them hear it on their computer just as you played it!
Beyond that, you can import that music into computer music programs for music education, composing, song arranging, etc for further musical interaction and even turn the wav file recording into an MP3 to play as an iTune on your iPad or iPod…amazing!

The PX850 also features a new piano lid audio projection system. When you open the top lid on the PX850 into an open position (just like on a grand piano), the sound is projected toward you for a more realistic listening & playing experience. The internal 40 watt 4-speaker sound system is very powerfuland adds more piano sound depth making the PX850 more exciting to play.
