The Ivory bound Teardrop A-style Mandolin with F-holes has been hand crafted from Basswood – a popular tonewood usually found on more expensive instruments.
The Maple neck features a bound Ovangkol fretboard with 20 Nickel Silver frets. The Ovangkol bridge is height adjustable and the neck is also adjustable thanks to its included steel truss rod.
This package comes complete with a range of accessories that include a Gig Bag, clip-on Tuner, Leather Strap, a spare set of Strings and a packet of picks.
Pro-SCM Setup
At the heart of this package is a Bryden Mandolin. We can confidently say that it is a very good instrument. We offer an extra service that we call our Pro-SCM setup. Our skilled technician will go right over the instrument with a careful eye, taking care of any issues that often include;
• Dressing, leveling and crowing the frets
• Hand rolling the fret ends
• Polishing the frets to a mirror finish
• Chamfering the sharp nut edges
• Oiling and polishing the fretboard
• Adjusting the bridge for correct height and intonation
• Lubricating the tuners
• Checking and tuning the strings to pitch
Our Pro-SCM setup will transform this mandolin from a good instrument into a great instrument! This work can easily cost $200 as a paid job – and we are booked out weeks ahead. It is included in our asking price making this package an unbeatable bargain!
If you don’t require our Pro-SCM setup, we also offer this package with our “standard” setup. The mandolin will be checked, the bridge positioned and strings tuned.
