Serious metal fans will know John Moyer as the bassist and backing vocalist for the heavy metal band Disturbed. His thunderous groove was first heard on the album, Ten Thousand Fists. Moyer has also played bass for the American supergroup Adrenaline Mob and currently plays in Stereo Satellite, Art of Anarchy and in 2015 he became a full-time member of the band Operation: Mindcrime.
John Moyer’s BC Rich Basses rarely come up for sale and are highly sought after in the metal world. This is the BC Rich John Moyer JMS4GM Standard signature four string Bass Guitar and it’s brand new, unplayed still packed in it’s original shipping carton.
With a modern, double-cut Havoc body and bolt-on neck construction, the JMS4GM Standard has an extremely fast Maple neck with a 24 jumbo fret, 34″ scale length Rosewood fingerboard.
A pair of high powered Rockfield Humbucking pickups ensure that when plugged in – you will be heard loud and clear – without any annoying 50Hz earth hum.
John Moyer knows what he wants and why – which is why he chose Paulownia wood for the body of the JMS4GM.
Paulownia wood is around two thirds of the weight of the lightest commercial wood currently being grown in Europe. Paulownia wood is a third of the weight of Oak and half the weight of Pine with the highest strength to weight ratios of any wood in the world. Also known as the Aluminium of Timber, Paulownia is also an amazing tonewood.
The Paulownia body and headstock face are finished in Gun Metal lacquer – chosen for the incredible way that the colour reflects light on stage. This affordable four-stringer is equipped with a four-saddle hardtail bridge and all hardware is – as you would expect – black.
